Minister Unveils Blueprint For Linking Product To Place - 3 July 2000
Agriculture Minister Nick Brown and Ewen Cameron, chairman of the Countryside Agency, will launch a major new project vital to the future prosperity of producers and the countryside. New research revealing whether consumers really understand the links between the products they purchase and the countryside they value will also be launched.
The initiative is the Countryside Agency's response to the Prime

between the products they buy and the countryside they value and to
work with others to develop projects to achieve this aim.Examples of projects which will be supported include:
High Weald Directory of local products: Countryside Agency guide to the goods and services that help maintain rich landscape and wildlife qualities. Similar directories in production for Suffolk and Norfolk Coasts.
Local sourcing project for the hotel and catering sector: a partnership project with MAFF, FRCA, regional tourist boards and Food From Britain
Forest of Mercia Innovation Centre: Promoting local woodlands and their products
