4.  Implementing the Rural Strategy – October    AP05/36 (53kb word)     

The implementation of the Rural Strategy 2004 continues to drive the activities and corporate entity of the Countryside Agency in the direction of travel of CRC and LAR. The Board are asked to note updates on the Commision for Rural Communities, LAR (confederation), Natural England, Corporate Services and Support - including Local Heritage Initiative, and Modernising Rural Delivery programme and legislation

The Board are asked to note the new report layouts reflecting revised divisional responsibilities, the summary position for Quarter 1 2005/06, plans for budget re-profiling during Quarter 2, and the position of the moratorium on new contracts over £100k and the possibility of a reduction in Grant-in-Aid

Corporate Plan 2006 – Timetable and Approval    AP05/38 (44kb word)

The Corporate Plan will set out the plans for implementing the strategic objectives of the organisation. This year the process will feed into the plans for the separate organisations of the Commission for Rural Communities and Natural England. Board Members are asked to approve the timetable and process for approval of the 2006 Countryside Agency Coroporate Plan, and to consider how best to involve Board Members in the formulation of the three-year Corporate Plans for the CRC and Natural England 


7. Annual Advice to the Secretary of State on the Level and Distribution of National Park Authority Funding for 2006/07    AP05/39 (52kb word)

This paper contains the Agency's recommendations to the Minister of State for Rural Affairs and Local Environmental Quality on the allocation of grant to the English National Parks and the Broads Authority. The Board are asked to approve the advice on the level and distribution of grants, as set out in this paper
