Easily accessible routes
These routes are accessible to those people with walking difficulties and, where stated, to people in wheelchairs or with pushchairs - put together by Countryside Services at Cornwall County Council.
Bude Canal and River Neet Valley Walk (part of the Easily Accessible Routes series)
This route offers users the option of three circular routes, each of differing lengths. All of the routes follow a level, surfaced (i.e. tarmac) path along the bank of the Bude Canal, before returning along the other side of the valley with views over the meadows - Wheelchair and pushchair friendly - 1, 2 or 2.5 miles.
Harlyn to Trevone (part of the Easily Accessible Routes series)
Stunning walk along the South West Coast Path National Trail on the North coast of Cornwall - 2.5 miles.
King George V Memorial Walk, Hayle (part of the Easily Accessible Routes series)
Level walk offering views over Copperhouse Pool, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and an Area of Great Scientific Value, and taking in the industrially important town of Hayle. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly - 2 miles.
Lerryn Riverside Walk (part of the Easily Accessible Routes series)
A pretty, mostly level walk taking in the views of the River Lerryn - 1.5 miles.
Cardinham Woods
Whilst managed as a commercial forest, Cardinham, situated to the east of Bodmin, is still a refuge for wildlife. Trails of varying lengths lead from the car park.
Kit Hill Country Park
With over 400 acres (152 hectares), Kit Hill is an ideal place for a wide range of activities including walking, kite flying, bird watching, orienteering, horseriding and picnics. There are several miles of path to explore which include a circular walk way-marked by distinctive granite posts - 2 miles.
