Raising awareness of the value of learning in the outdoor environment amongst teachers, parents and young people is a key feature of our education work.

There is currently a lack of evidence to support the educational value of outdoor learning.   To remedy this, we are working in partnership with the Department for Education and Skills and Farming and Countryside Education on a rigorous action research programme. This is assessing the impact and value of outdoor learning, as well as developing a toolkit of specific teaching techniques.
