We work with local planning authorities and other organisations to further explore and demonstrate our ideas and principles set out in ‘Planning tomorrows countryside’. We want to take our research, concepts and initiatives and show how they can work.
Demonstrating positive planning in rural areas

In May 2004, we selected demonstration projects from over 50 expressions of interest from local planning authorities and other organisations.  The 13 selected projects have now been completed or are nearing completion. The demonstration work has helped explore, develop and show how positive planning approaches can work in rural areas.
