Management arrangements in the Lincolnshire Wolds
In 2004, the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service published a management plan for the AONB on behalf of the local authorities. To view a copy of the management plan and find out more about the work of the Countryside Service visit their website www.lincolnshirewolds.info |
| Statutory policies |
Specific protective provision is made for the AONB in both the Lincolnshire Structure Plan (Consultation Draft (1996)) and Humberside Structure Plan Consultation Draft (1994). |
| Other AONB publications |
In 1993 the Countryside Commission published a Landscape Assessment of the Lincolnshire Wolds (CCP 414, £7.00). The AONB statement of intent (1971) prepared by the former Lindsey County Council for the whole area, prior to designation and local government reorganisation, still stands and has been implemented over the years by individual local authorities within their development control function. |

| Action on the ground |
The Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Project has worked to repair and restore landscape features and increase awareness of the area's natural importance through environmental education. The project has sought to undertake schemes that attract finance from a variety of sources, with the emphasis on the involvement of landowners and the voluntary sector. |
